“Congratulations NCPC, Sri Lanka for organizing the 2nd International Conference on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy in the year 2022. The 1st Conference held in 2020 was an impactful show where eminent International speakers and National experts enthusiastically engaged with 200+ delegates from both government and private sectors. Resource efficiency and tools for circular economy with life cycle perspective have been identified as major themes in the upcoming conference and hence participants will be able to obtain a broad spectrum of knowledge on the above themes with the speaker’s experiences in Asian and European contexts. It was a privilege for me to participate in the previous conference and I am eagerly looking to join with the upcoming conference also to share my experiences in resource efficiency and circular economy. I cordially invite all the interested parties to this International platform.”
“It is with utmost delight I will be joining the 2nd International Conference on Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production organized by NCPC, Sri Lanka. Mainstreaming of resource efficiency across enterprises will lead to optimal use of resources, reduced waste and circular economy; thus, it will contribute towards enterprise resilience and meeting SDG targets. Shifting toward a circular economy will direct towards sustainable consumption and production. In the context of efficient resource use, a circular economy would be a sustainable alternative to the traditional linear economic model, thus minimizing waste. You are warmly invited to witness this gracious occasion and join us in building a circular economy with efficient resource use in Sri Lanka.”
“It is well recognized by scientists and researchers that the climate target of net-zero cannot be met simply by focusing on energy efficiency, resource efficiency and clean energy. While these are very important and will contribute to mitigation of climate change, the remaining climate change impacts can be reduced through faster and greater adoption of the circular economy. Therefore, it is a great opportunity to engage in the 2nd International Conference on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy organized by NCPC, Sri Lanka. Closing the loop will transform our economy into one with resource circulation and waste minimization. I invite you to benefit from this golden opportunity and engage with us in the upcoming conference to be held…”
“I would like to convey my good wishes to NCPC Sri Lanka for organizing the International Conference on Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production for the 2nd time in Sri Lanka. It was a great honour to participate in the first conference held in 2020 and it was a milestone on the pathway towards sustainable development in Sri Lanka. I am convinced that a life cycle perspective is essential to provide decision support for a holistic circular economy and resource efficiency strategies as well as to assess the environmental performance of goods and services. Working with GIZ and NCPC Sri Lanka in an ongoing project on national LCA database development, we are laying the foundation for future life cycle assessments to identify opportunities for more circularity and increased resource efficiency. Therefore, I cordially welcome you to join us at the conference on January 19th, 2022, for informative sessions on important and trending sustainability topics, highlighted both locally and globally.”
“It’s a great pleasure that NCPC, Sri Lanka is organizing the 2nd International Conference on Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy in 2022. The 1st conference conducted by NCPC was a landmark event at the outset of the new decade 2020 to set the plans for addressing global environmental changes in the Sri Lankan context. In my experience with the industry as well as industry association and chamber for over 40 years, I understand that these types of events are very much crucial as learning experiences for industries and businesses. We strongly believe the upcoming conference will be an eye-opening and enlightening session towards addressing these global concerns specially related to resource efficiency and circular economy in Sri Lanka. I sincerely encourage all of you to join with this International event and I wish the Conference all success.”
