Alphabet Poised for Record $23 Billion Acquisition of Wiz

Alphabet, the parent company of Google, is in advanced discussions to acquire cybersecurity startup Wiz for approximately $23 billion, according to a source familiar with the matter, as reported by Matt Egan and Jordan Valinsky for CNN.

Discussions began after Wiz raised $1 billion from venture capital investors earlier this year. The deal is not yet finalized and could still fall through. The Wall Street Journal first reported the news, and neither Google nor Wiz responded to CNN’s requests for comment.
